Alex Roberts, Owner and Instructor

At Dot to Dot Art Workshop it is our mission to provide an inspiring space where we can make connections within our community through the art experience. In our supportive, safe, and dynamic environment, we offer professional guidance and aim to foster and encourage creative thinkers.

Students can hone their skills with drawing, explore light and color in painting, imagine, construct and manipulate shapes in a sculpture, or connect with texture and pattern with collage or while sewing and working with fibers. Artists can experiment with the process of printmaking or can investigate mixing a variety of mediums or reusing objects in creative new ways in a multimedia art experience. All art experiences are designed to ensure children will have fun while developing creative thinking skills, fine motor skills, perseverance, and cultural awareness.

We welcome children from 2-12 years of age for classes and open studio and ages 4-10 for celebrations.  We offer teen and adult workshops periodically and invite you to schedule time with friends for, “She’s Crafty” nights.

Dot to Dot Art Workshop is a dream realized by me, Alex Roberts, owner and instructor. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education. I am a certified Art Educator in the State of Massachusetts with over 12 years of professional art teaching experience.

As an art lover, practicing artist, mother and teacher, my strengths lie in my ability to cultivate a tight-knit community that celebrates the creative spirit in each of our children, getting to know their skills, learning styles, way of thinking, and what makes them giggle.

Pablo Picasso said, “Every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” I love this quote. It reminds us that we are all artists. We see the world in our own way, we can explore and use our minds and hands to document our stories. This is art. Looking forward to connecting with you.
